  • HPSignature Events: An Introduction

“Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated.” - osho

The recent pandemic definitely hit the event industry hard. We were restricted in the ways we gathered with others so even the simplest celebrations needed to be strategically planned, muted or non-existent.

Now that we are finally emerging from the restraints of restrictions, allow me to reintroduce you to the wonderful world of events, where we turn up the volume and celebrate your life on full blast.

If living in a form of isolation for the last 18+ months have taught me one thing, it’s to make sure to celebrate milestones, big and small, with people who give meaning to your life and are a good time!

Life is short, so let’s plan how we create amazing experiences that you will hold in your memories forever. I can’t wait to plan with you!

Fast Five with your friendly event planner

    1. What made you want to pursue a career in events?

It wasn’t until I graduated from University that I realized I wanted to professionally pursue a career in events. I knew it would be a great way for me to be creative and social and consistently challenged with new clients and expectations. I eagerly took on the planning part of most social events in my calendar and I loved the rush I would get when I got to see it come to fruition. I love to help put smiles on people’s faces and for me that is one of the biggest rewards of having a career in events.

    2. What personality traits and skills do you think all event planners must have?

While every event planner has their set of unique strengths that make them successful in what they do, personally I value being a people person with great communication skills who is highly organized, detailed oriented and able to solve problems quickly.

    3. How do you keep on top of industry trends?

Staying connected with other event planners, joining various event centered organizations and attending conferences available to industry professionals. Social media has also proven to be a great way to stay on top of what’s trending.

    4. What do you define as a successful event?

For me, a successful event is defined with three criteria:

      • Captures the clients vision & objective

      • On budget

      • Portrays a seamless and effortless execution to the attendees

    5. What are your favourite events to plan?

While I have a lot of experience in large scale festivals and galas, I love planning personal events around memorable life events, such as weddings. There is something special and gratifying when you help create a memory that will last a lifetime.
